In 2009 through reputation, a competitive tendering process and recognition of success at Tranche 1, Apex were awarded the following phase (Tranche 2) at sites in Netherton Road (Seven Sisters), Pulross Road (Brixton) & Palace Street (Victoria). We were pleased to enter into contract for Tranche 2 with Mansell Construction Services Ltd – another market leader and valued client.

A complex engineering project, the performance of the new plant (Fans, Attenuation and Dampers) is measured to ensure proficient airflow and noise output. Success has largely been achieved by our precision engineering – from detailing, fabrication and installation. This was made all the more challenging considering much of the installation of our Structural Steel Frame was carried out in a ventilation shaft some 20m below ground. Other considerations for this project include trackside working & safety, engineering working hours and programme stipulations – where operation of plant be completed by June 2009 (Tranche 1) and June 2010 (Tranche 2), making our success critical to the delivery of our client’s Main Contract.

Final forecast value of Tranche 2 is approx £1.6million.

We have invested in LUL Training for all operatives and are confident of efficiently administering Subcontracts of varying values in this sector of the industry.

With this in mind, Apex are active in securing the proceeding Tranche for the winning Main Contractor.
