Apex Steel Structures operates their production facility from a 21,000sq ft site in Canvey Island, Essex.
The companyıs production facility employs some of the most up to date computer numerically controlled machinery.
Our continual growth has been determined by the ability to ensure a balance between product quality and the capacity for high production volumes necessary to participate in major structural projects.
Apex employs a skilled workforce of platers, welders and paint sprayers and can manufacture steelwork to the demands of any specification. The whole of the manufacturing process is closely monitored, to exact specified criteria, by our extensive quality control systems. This assures accuracy of manufacture and that steelwork deliveries are sequenced in accordance with the programme criteria.

MAIN FABRICATION AREA
Complete with Peddinghaus BDL 1250 Saw & 9 Spindle Head Drill Line processing sections up to 1250x610mm in lengths up to 20 metres and 15 tonnes in weight, 4No. assembly bays, 4No. welding bays all serviced by 2No. 10 tonne cranes.
FITTINGS
Apex recently constructed a new 2,000 sq.ft facility to house our newly purchased Peddinghaus FDB/1500 plate drilling and cutting machine Capable of processing wide flat steel up to 1500 x 75 x 6000mm 3 spindle drill heads capable of drilling holes up to 50mm countersinking and hole tapping facility. Both an oxyfuel and a HYPERTHERM HPR 260 Plasma Cutting Facility.
We also undertake fabrication of smaller works in this area, such
as handrail and balustrade. Complete with heating and extractor fans serviced by 5 & 10 tonne cranes.
PAINTING & LOADING AREA
The painting of fabrications is vitally important. It is applied at the end of the production line, the steel never leaving the temperature controlled environment.
